The Tablet of Adventure is a social adventure game for the real world. The main objective is to get out there and find new places or to race your friends to a familiar locations. By taking part in Geohashes you can spike your life with a healthy dose of randomness.
What do you need to play?
- A N900
- Qaiku username and from Qaiku an Api-key, if you want to be social. This because the Tablet of Adventure uses Qaiku to manage comments in log and the positioning of other players in the map.
- An Internet connection that is constant.
When you start the program for the first time it takes a really long time, a minute or two, don’t panic, it does that only on the first run.
This is the first screen after initializing. It shows geohash destination for your graticule.
This is the screen when you have selected the geohash adventure and clicked the home button. Your button doesn’t show on the map until you press the start button.

[…] The application is not in all parts what I planned it to be and in some parts it’s more than I expected. Now the version 0.9.1 is in extras-testing. It would be nice to hear some testing reports, the bug tracker can be found in GitHub . Hopefully soon enough I’ll have the opportunity to just lay back and watch people going on their adventures. A short introduction to the application can be found in the tab the Tablet of Adventure. […]
So how does one actually join an adventure?
Go to the adventure menu and select an adventure then press start.

Loading more than 20 minutes right now (first time) still loading… something went wrong?
Jeah, something is wrong. First run takes usually about 2-3 minutes.
Me too. First time running took long time.
After turning power off (could not wait longer) the screen icon
for the app vanished. Cannot place it back because it vanished
from the list. But the app is still listed in the
applications sheet.
Suggestions:
An indicator which shows if app is doing anything.
A way to put the game at background during the
first run; power off is extreme.
Could the problem be that I don’t have the required
account yet?
